Hygoshop for Instagram
Connect your Instagram Business account; Hygoshop generates caption + image content from your catalog, you approve, we publish. Your engagement metrics (reach, impressions, profile visits) come back into Hygoshop alongside the post. Comments that qualify as reviews ingest into the review-to-content workflow automatically.
What we use Instagram's API for
instagram_basic— verify the merchant's IG Business profile after OAuth.instagram_content_publish— publish photos, carousels, and (in a follow-up) reels to the merchant's Business account.instagram_manage_insights— fetch engagement metrics for posts published via Hygoshop.pages_show_list+pages_manage_posts+pages_read_engagement— IG Business requires a linked Facebook Page; we handle the join.
How merchants control it
- OAuth grants only what we ask for; we never request unrelated scopes.
- Every publish is an explicit click in the Hygoshop dashboard. We do not auto-publish.
- Revocable any time from Facebook Business Settings → Apps → HygoShop → Remove. Revocation is recognized within 5 minutes.
- Restricted-category content (supplements, health, etc.) routes through human operator review before publishing.
Data we store
- OAuth refresh + access tokens (encrypted at rest, scoped to one merchant connection).
- Post metadata for posts we published (post id, scheduled-for, published-at, current engagement snapshot).
- NOT stored: anything outside posts that Hygoshop didn't help create.
